Houston Property Completes Renovations, Opens After Hurricane Harvey
Kings Cove Apartments underwent $6 million in upgrades to the first-floor apartment interiors and several of the amenity spaces.
The $6 million renovation of Kings Cove Apartments in Kingwood, Texas, is now complete, following the need of extensive renovations after Hurricane Harvey. The property is professionally managed by Greystar and asset-managed by National Asset Services (NAS). This reopening marks one of the first multifamily communities in the area to do so.
Located at 4920 Magnolia Cove Drive, the 192-unit property’s first floor was left completely flooded by the hurricane and underwent dramatic upgrades in order to reopen. Interior features of the remodeled apartments include stainless steel appliances, stained concrete flooring, 10-foot ceilings with exposed ducts, white cabinetry, designer light fixtures and private balcony/patios. Additional improvements included the swimming pool area, which received new furniture and tropical landscaping, as well as a renovated clubhouse.
“While being among the first properties in the area to reopen is extremely satisfying, we are very proud to offer an even better living environment for Kings Cove residents,” said Karen Kennedy, president & founder of National Asset Services. “The reopening is the result of an incredible amount of hard work and sacrifice from such a dedicated team of talented professionals.”
The pet-friendly Kings Cove features one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 707 to 1,368 square feet. Other interior features include Freesia carpet, oval garden soaking tubs, black pearl granite countertops, maple cabinets, chrome hardware, washer/dryers, GE appliances, faux-wood flooring and ceiling fans, as well as island kitchens, built-in computer niches, exposed ducts and faux-wood or stained concrete flooring in select units. Residents have access to amenities including:
- cyber cafe
- spinning room
- social activities
- covered parking and detached garages
- tanning beds
- business center
