Heidi Burkhart to Receive Affordable Housing Finance Young Leader Award

New York—Heidi Burkhart of Dane Professional Consulting Group, an affordable housing brokerage based in New York City, will be receiving the Affordable Housing Finance Young Leader Award during the 2013 Affordable Housing Developers’ Summit in Chicago. The award recognizes up-and-coming individuals who are building organizations, solving problems, and creating affordable housing solutions throughout the US. The leaders chosen for this award are all under 40 years of age and work in all areas of affordable housing including: development, finance, law, accounting, or government program administration.

Burkhart is the president and founder of Dane Professional Consulting Group, which specializes in affordable housing real estate and development. In her decade-long career in the affordable housing industry, Burkhart has facilitated the closing in excess of over 10,000 affordable housing units and closed over $1 billion in transactions. Prior to forming Dane PCG, Burkhart was a senior director at Eastern Consolidated in New York where she headed the affordable housing brokerage and investment division. Heidi began her career as a financial analyst at Owens Illinois, Toledo, Ohio.

Burkhart will be receiving the award during the 2013 Affordable Housing Developers’ Summit at the Fairmont Millennium Park in Chicago. The Young Leaders will be recognized at the Affordable Housing Finance Readers’ Choice Awards and Hall of Fame luncheon scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22nd.
