Greystone Launches Leasing at Miami-Area Luxury Community

RKW Residential is the leasing agent for The Aura, a 100-unit mixed-use property in Coral Gables, Fla. CBRE was selected to lease the retail portion of the building.

The Aura

Greystone Development’s The Aura, a 100-unit, 14-story mixed-use building in Coral Gables, Fla., has begun leasing. Located at 1501 SW 37th Ave., the multifamily community is within walking distance to both the city’s downtown area and the Miracle Mile.

RKW Residential is the leasing agent for the multifamily portion of the property, which features one- and two-bedroom units with private outdoor space, designer kitchens and in-unit washer/dryers.

CBRE’s Emran Ally is the exclusive leasing agent for the 6,400 square feet of retail space. The ground-floor space has floor-to-ceiling windows and more than 150 feet of frontage along Douglas Road, a highly-trafficked retail corridor.

“The Aura successfully integrates modern functionality with accessible, upscale comforts into a beautiful, livable space for its residents,” Thomas Ryan, head of Greystone Development, said in a prepared statement. “Coral Gables is one of Miami’s most desirable places to live, work and play, and we are excited that The Aura’s residents will be able to fully enjoy all that this community has to offer.”

Borges + Associates designed the 235,000-square-foot property, which features a 24/7 concierge, resort-style pool, sundeck and spa, fitness center and lounge, as well as garage parking.

Miami Market Moves

Greystone Development topped off The Aura in January 2017. At that time, company officials said the firm had developed more than 830,000 gross square feet of space in Coral Gables and Miami.

In March 2018, Greystone completed the ground-up construction of 2500 Biscayne Blvd. in Edgewater, Fla., and sold both the residential and retail components of the 19-story, mixed-use property. Co-developer Alta acquired the remaining stake in the 156-unit residential community. Investment partner Infinity Real Estate purchased the 11,500-square-foot retail space, which was leased to Mount Sinai Medical Center, Mercantil Bank and Rice Mediterranean Kitchen.

Greystone and Alta had previously completed and sold The Mile at Coral Gables, a 13-story, 120-unit luxury residential community at 3622 S.W. Coral Way, to Monogram Residential Trust Inc. in 2016.
