New York—Greystone has launched Printhouse Lofts, a 36-unit luxury rental apartment building in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood.
Located at 139 North 10th St., situated between Berry Street and Bedford Avenue, the building was transformed from a former 1900’s industrial-style warehouse.
“Williamsburg is undergoing one of the most exciting real estate transformations in all of New York City,” Jeffrey Simpson, Greystone’s head of property development, says. “This was the ideal neighborhood to develop a luxury rental building that not only offers views and amenities, but also cutting-edge design in a prime location.”
Printhouse Lofts consists of 28 one-bedroom, six two-bedroom and two three-bedroom apartments. All units feature stainless steel appliances, farmhouse sinks and natural stone countertops. Two of the ground floor apartments boast 50-foot-long glass solariums. One of the fifth floor apartments also has a 225-square-foot terrace.
The interiors were designed by Funda Durukan of Durukan Design, whose signature industrial feel is employed by juxtaposing many of the building’s original features with new modern elements including exposed beams, oversized industrial tilt and turn windows, exposed brick and heavy tinder beams. Large columns support 13-foot ceilings with exposed ductwork.
According to Simpson, Greystone was deliberate in keeping the building’s industrial aesthetic, while also adding modern touches that make people feel at home.
Building amenities in the pet-friendly building include a virtual doorman, video intercom system, laundry machines on all floors, bike storage and 2,500 square feet of shared roof deck space, offering 360-degree panoramic views of both the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines.
