Greenbuild Property Tour Slideshow: Four Sustainable Communities in Philadelphia
December 6, 2013
While it is great to report on all the innovative apartment communities being built across the country during this development cycle, there is nothing like getting to tour some properties first hand. MHN recently had the opportunity to tour four niche multi-housing communities in Philadelphia at the forefront of the green movement.
While it is great to report on all the innovative apartment communities being built across the country during this development cycle, there is nothing like getting to tour some properties first hand.
MHN’s Senior Associate Editor Mike Ratliff had the chance to tour and photograph four properties at the forefront of the green movement during Greenbuild this fall in Philadelphia. The ‘Liberty and Justice for All’ walking tour is highlighted in the slideshow below.
Properties toured include:
- Connelly House, a supportive housing asset for the formerly homeless.
- The John C. Anderson Apartments, one of the first LGBT-friendly, low-income, seniors housing projects in the country.
- 777 South Broad, a 146-unit luxury mixed-used TOD community.
- Lenfest Hall, a state-of-the-art dorm and rehearsal hall for the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music.
