Green Cabinetry That Could Really ‘Transform’ a Space

If you’re going green, one of the easiest first steps is to source products that are locally produced. In the New York region, for high-end cabinetry, developers should look to Bazzeo by NYLOFT. The company, which is based in North Bergen, N.J., uses recycled wood and other eco-friendly materials for its cabinetry.

New York—If you’re going green, one of the easiest first steps is to source products that are locally produced. In the New York region, for high-end cabinetry, developers should look to Bazzeo by NYLOFT. The company, which is based in North Bergen, N.J., uses recycled wood and other eco-friendly materials for its cabinetry. Bazzeo’s products also may contribute to credits for U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED criteria.

In a recent event in the NYLOFT showroom in Manhattan, Bazzeo unveiled two new collections—Pandora and Cinetica. Both lines of designer cabinets feature mechanisms that transform the units to change their layouts.

For the Pandora line, the unit changes from open counter space to a dining table for four, which includes four chairs, a shelving system, cook top, sink, a pop-up faucet and a hidden TV compartment. Cinetica features a cabinet that can have the top row disappear for clean lines when not in use.

Both collections can be controlled via smartphone, tablet or from a wall panel. Additionally units in the Pandora and Cinetica lines can be fully customized in a variety of finishes and colors.

“[These cabinets] are good for people who don’t want to lose storage space but also don’t want to lose the view,” a Bazzeo designer told MHN at the unveiling event.
