GracePointe Crossing Breaks Ground on $50M Expansion
The Cambridge, Minn., redevelopment includes the addition of 50 senior units and 18 assisted living memory care apartments.

Cambridge, Minn.—Adolfson and Peterson (AP) Construction recently broke ground on a $50 million redevelopment and expansion of GracePointe Crossing senior living community in Cambridge, Minn. The project will connect the living options at GracePointe Crossing by moving the Gables East and West care centers. The new development will serve up to 141 long-term residents.
Located on RiverHills Parkway, the new Gables will be designed in a home-like setting to accommodate Liberty Personally Designed Living, the care model of Presbyterian Homes and Services (PHS). Besides an additional 50 senior apartments and 18 assisted living memory care apartments, a therapy center will also be included in the new construction. The care center will serve up to 141 long-term residents. A new Town Center will feature a chapel/auditorium, bistro, wellness center, salon and theater. Ten townhomes were eliminated to accommodate the new construction.
“This is an investment in the long-term future of this community,” said Dan Lindh, president of PHS, in prepared remarks.
GracePoint Crossing marks AP’s 13th project with PHS. In their 20-year relationship, AP and PHS have built 12 projects together. In 2015, AP completed Folkestone at the Promenade in Wayzata, Minn., the largest and most complex center to date, encompassing over 1 million square feet.
