Dallas—Harmony Hill, a contemporary, urban-style apartment community in the Dallas suburb of Rowlett, Texas, has just broken ground. Announcement of the groundbreaking was made by Huffines Communities, the project‘s developer.
Located at the intersection of Merritt Road and President George Bush Turnpike, the apartment community will be completed in two phases and will eventually feature 650 residences. It delivers a distinctive, urban-inspired design that includes an array of high-end common-area amenities and finishes.
“This new, upscale community is the first new construction of its kind in 20 to 30 years in Rowlett,” Philllip Huffines tells MHN. Huffines co-owns Huffines Communities with his brother, Donald Huffines.
“There also is tremendous growth in the area, including thousands of new jobs with companies like State Farm in Richardson,” he adds.
Harmony Hill will feature a number of planned amenities, including a 7,000-square-foot clubhouse with fitness center, swimming pool, business center and pavilion. Bike and jogging trails as well as a nine-hole disc golf course will beckon to fitness enthusiasts. An onsite dog park will appeal to pet owners.
Among the features and finishes offered at Harmony Hill will be 10-foot high-ceilings, 8-foot front doors, oversized windows, granite countertops, sleek, up-to-the-minute interior designs and extensive sound attenuation. USB ports will be offered inside each apartment, and Wi-Fi will be available in all common areas. Covered, garage and open space parking will be offered. Each building will have secure access, giving residents an extra measure of security.
The buildings were designed by JHP Architecture/Urban Design. Moore Design Group developed the community’s interior design.
When it opens in the summer of 2016, Harmony Hill will offer one- and two-bedroom luxury apartment residences in multiple floor plans that will range from 560 to 1,263 square feet. Pre-leasing of the 326 Phase I apartments at Harmony Hill will commence in spring 2016.
“We have been creating great places to live for more than 20 years and with the expertise on our team, we have always been able to creatively resolve any challenges on our projects,” Huffines says. “Harmony Hill brings a contemporary option to Rowlett and the urban-style design with upscale amenities creates a community that our future residents will want to call home.”
Based in Dallas, Huffines Communities designs and creates pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods with master trail systems, adjoining retail and commercial services and, in some cases, neighborhood schools.
