Get the Wood Look Plus Porcelain Durability with Florim Tiles

While hardwood floors are a huge plus for renters, the cost and upkeep can be a issue from a development/maintenance stance. Porcelain tiles with printed graphics are a great way to achieve that wood look with an easy-to-maintain material.

Urban Wood

Clarksville, Tenn.—While hardwood floors are a huge plus for renters, the cost and upkeep can be a problem from a development/maintenance stance. Carpets are never a great choice for rentals, and faux wood can look cheap and wears quickly. Porcelain tiles with printed wood graphics are a great choice for achieving that wood look with an easy-to-maintain material.

Florim USA, a subsidiary of Italian tile maker the Florim Group, has introduced Urban Wood, a new porcelain tile range that is particularly well suited for apartment kitchens, bathrooms and even bedrooms. The material is also a good choice for common areas like patios or porches.

Florim achieves the realistic wood-look surface with its High Definition Graphic Technology. The porcelain is soft to the touch, and is installed using small grout groups which give the tile area a monolithic appearance. The small grout joint also means less time and expense for future cleaning.

Urban Wood

Urban Wood is available in six wood-look colors including Ash, Honey, Oak, Walnut, Wenge and White Birch. Tiles come in three sizes, ranging from 4”x24”, 6”x24” and 6”x36”. There is also a grip finish available (and recommended) for outdoor applications where a non-slip surface is necessary.

The tiles are made in Florim’s Tennessee factory and contain a 10 percent recycled content, making the material eligible for earning LEED points.
