Let’s be real. Most renters are not cooking gourmet meals every night in their ovens. But they might be heating up leftovers, or attempting to impress their friends with a batch of cookies, cupcakes, cronuts or whatever the next trendy desert item may be.
One of the biggest pain points with cooking is getting food in and out of the oven without getting a blister. The smart folks at GE understand our struggle, and have developed an Easy Load Oven Drawer that makes meal preparation easier for the half-baked home cook. It is essentially an upper oven that slides of out the GE Profile Series 30” Free-Standing Double Oven Range like a cabinet drawer.
Not sure if your muffins are done? Just slide them out and do a toothpick test. You can also check the temperature of your stuffed turkey without having to pull out the pan.
In addition to the sliding drawer, the oven also features convection, a flexible cooktop with 6-inch, 9-inch and 12-inch power burners, an expandable bridge zone for elongated pans, and a total 6.6 cubic foot capacity.
The Easy Load Oven Drawer was developed at GE’s FirstBuild community in Louisville, Ky., which specializes in quick development and testing on smaller scales. This allows ideas to get to market faster than the traditional appliance development route. If a product is successful in the market, it can be moved to mass production.
