Clark, N.J.—Garden Homes subsidiary Garden Communities has announced the opening of the first of four apartment buildings in the company’s luxury active adult community Woodcrest at Clark. The second building in the Clark, N.J. community is expected to be move-in ready by July and has already has already rented about half of the units in its preleasing efforts. Woodcrest at Clark is on schedule to fully complete by 2015.
“With such a demand for high-end, active-adult housing in the Central Jersey region, it’s no surprise that these completed and nearly-completed units are renting at such a rapid pace,” says Julia Leonard, director of leasing. “Because the property offers all of the key amenities that 55-plus adults are currently seeking, we fully expect this trend to continue as construction of Woodcrest at Clark progresses.”
The community’s rental offerings include one- and two-bedroom floor plans that range between 900 and 1,630 square feet and include notable high-end features such as granite countertops, breakfast bars, stainless steel appliances, large private balconies, walk-in closets, large soaking tubs and oversized master shower. The units also include other conveniences such as individually controlled central heat and air conditioning, a utility-storage room with washer and dryer.
The community’s amenities package includes a clubhouse with fireplaces, a fitness center, a card room and a TV lounge that is slated for completion this summer.
The development, located at 1245 Westfield Avenue in Clark, is adjacent to Union County Parkland and has convenient access to public transportation, private, public and recreational facilities.
Garden Communities recently broke ground on the community’s third building, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2014. Construction on the fourth building has not started.
