Gables Residential sparks excitement in Arlington, Va. with a 370-unit luxury apartment home community. Gables Pointe 14 broke ground in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor of Arlington and includes two buildings, an underground parking and an 8,000-square-foot park. The project had been approved by the County Board in February 2015 and is slated for completion in the winter of 2020.

The development will rise on a 2.17-acre site located at 1307 N. Rolfe St. and will include a six-story and a 12-story building. The unit mix will comprise studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with floorplans ranging from 487 to 1,553 square feet. The community will also feature an 8,000-square-foot park, a below-grade garage, a private outdoor courtyard and a rooftop recreation area with a resident lounge, dining area and pool with panoramic views on downtown D.C.

Gables Pointe 14 will be located minutes away from the Court House and Rosslyn Metro stations, the Colonial Village historic garden complex, while offering immediate access to the neighboring areas via Arlington Boulevard. “The Rosslyn-Ballston corridor is a highly desirable area,” Gables Residential Regional Vice President Jorgen Punda said in a prepared statement. “Our site involved the assemblage of thirteen lots, owned by both private individuals and Arlington County. It was a successful collaboration and we believe it is a great opportunity to deliver a ‘best in class’ apartment home community, with unparalleled amenities within walking distance to the Court House and Rosslyn Metro stations and a variety of dining and entertainment options.”

The new addition will expand Gables Residential’s portfolio that already owns and manages 31,000 apartment homes and 550,000 square feet of retail space in the South, Southern Pacific and Mid-Atlantic regions. The Arlington area boasts with numerous new developments such as Union on Queen or Central Place Residential.
