First Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Israel Confirms Late 2013 Opening
One of the largest luxury hotel groups in terms of both number of venues and notoriety is set to open its first Israeli location.

Tel Aviv, Israel—One of the largest luxury hotel groups in terms of both number of venues and notoriety is set to open its first Israeli location. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC recently announced that it is on track to debut the brand new The Ritz-Cartlon Herzliya, in the city of Tel Aviv. Once it is open, the facility will become the first global luxury branded hotel on the local market. Herzliya enjoy a fantastic position as an upscale residential town just north of Tel Aviv, where the technology sector has recently seen vast improvement.
The 12-story structure aims to redefine luxury in the country of Israel and to that effect will boast a guest amenity package including: unique beachfront positioning, rooftop swimming pool, the signature Ritz-Carlton Spa and Fitness Centre, outdoor terraces, as well as easy access to watersports including sailing and surfing. The Herbet Samuel, a kosher restaurant operated by Chef Yonathon Roshfeld, serving kosher Israeli wines and food from locally sourced produce, will be located in the hotel. A panoramic rooftop bar will complete the guest’s experience at The Ritz-Carlton Herzliya. Business guests will profit from the availability of 4,500 square feet of meeting space, as well as a dedicated business center.
Set to open this fall, the 197-key property includes 82 suites offering balconies and views of the Mediteranean. The team responsible for the hotel’s design includes architecture firm Rani Ziss Architects, who handled the structure’s design while New York-based interior design firm Studio Gaia handling the interiors. The hotel’s lobby and restaurant concepts were created by Gad Halperin, an Israeli design studio.
With opening set for later in the year, company officials have expressed their excitement regarding the new project. The Ritz-Carlton’s President and COO Herve Humler noted that the hotel “will bring its legendary service standards to Israel and offer the global affluent traveler a destination for both leisure and business.”
