Fairmont Hotel Opens on Palm Jumeirah
The world’s largest manmade island, The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, is the location of the newest Fairmont hotel, the 381-unit Fairmont The Palm.

Dubai, UAE—The world’s largest manmade island, The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, is the location of the newest Fairmont hotel, the 381-unit Fairmont The Palm. The newly opened resort is located in proximity to prime business attractions and numerous world-famous entertainment and retail options such as the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest free-standing tower and The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest retail development.
Fairmont The Palm features 381 guestrooms and suites, including two presidential suites and a Fairmont Gold private floor, as well 10 one- and two-bedroom private residences, referred to as Fairmont Heritage Place, The Palm, Dubai. Guest rooms offer amenities such as private balconies with views of Arabian Gulf, Dubai Marina skyline or Palm Jumeirah, private refreshment centers, large marble bathrooms in-room safe, high-speed Internet access, entertainment and communications systems such as flat-screen TVs. The Fairmont Gold—referred to as a hotel within in a hotel, offers a private floor with amenities such as 24-hour butler service, concierge tea and access to the Fairmont Gold Lounge, among other things.
The hotel’s 37,600 square feet of meeting space offer ample occasion for events ranging from business meeting, press conferences to weddings and various social events. One of the highlights of the Fairmont’s function space is the grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 700. Other meeting spaces include eight versatile rooms outfitted with state-of-the arte audio-visual equipment that also extensively feature natural lights. An outdoor events area is also available and offers sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf.
Hotel amenities include the 17,200-square-foot Willow Stream Spa, the Fairmont’s branded signature spa. The holistic spa features 13 treatment rooms, aroma steam and sauna, hammams, an ice fountain and experience showers. Other wellness-related amenities include a full-service fitness club with personal training services, a four-unit outdoor pool complex, an over 1,400-foot white-sand private beach, cabanas and a beach club, as well sailing, paddle-boarding and kayaking.
Fairmont The Palm offers seven diverse restaurant and lounge options such as the Bā with its pan-Chinese cuisine or The Brazilian-cuisine Frevo or Flow Kitchen and its mix of Asian, European and Middle Eastern dishes. The beach-level Seagrill on 25º Restaurant & Lounge features stunning views of the sea, while the 24-hour lobby-level Mashrabiya lounge caters to tea- and coffee-lovers. The Cigar Room and The Chinese Wine and Cocktail Bar round out lounging options.
Other amenities at Fairmont The Palm include a full service business center, a Children’s Activity Center, babysitting, concierge, high-speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, valet parking and car rental.
DSA Architects International was in charge of the hotel’s contemporary design that features Arabic influences as well.
