Greenville, S.C.—Grubb Properties plans to begin construction early this year on Link Apartments West End, a 215-unit apartment community in the dynamic West End of Greenville, S.C. Leasing is expected to begin in spring, 2016.
In preparation for that ground breaking, Grubb Properties has closed on four land parcels at the intersection of River and Rhett Streets. The location is convenient to both West End entertainment and recreation, and downtown Greenville jobs and retail. Renters at Link Apartments West End will be within steps of more than 100 restaurants, as well as attractions Falls Park on the Reedy, Minor League Baseball’s Fluor Field, the Swamp Rabbit Trail and Peace Center.
Catering primarily to Millennials and others who seek a renting lifestyle close to employment and entertainment centers, Link Apartments has been designed with efficiency as a top priority. Apartments will feature well-appointed kitchens, generously sized windows, USB outlets and abundant storage.
The amenity package at Link Apartments will be among the best in the region. It will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center with a mezzanine level focused on aerobics and yoga, a covered rooftop terrace with gourmet kitchen and dramatic views, club room with media center, kitchen and cyber café with Wi-Fi, computers and printers, two courtyards with solar-heated saltwater pool, fire pits, and grilling stations, street-level secured Cycle Center with premium storage lockers, maintenance and training facilities, dog park and pet wash station, and secured free parking with electric car charging stations and one parking slot per bedroom.
The development is the fourth nationally-branded Link Apartments from Grubb Properties. It joins properties in Raleigh, Winston-Salem and Richmond, Va., all of which are designed to attract urban dwellers. The land was brokered by Pete Brett of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine. The design team includes BB+M Architecture, SeamonWhiteside, Optima Engineering and M2 Structural.
“What sets Link Apartments apart are the perfect location with walkable access to both West End and downtown Greenville, as well as extensive amenities to enjoy an urban living experience,” says Rachel Russell, real estate development director for Charlotte, N.C.-based Grubb Properties. “With the addition of Link Apartments West End, Grubb Properties is proud to offer our premier customer service to 900 apartment homes in the vibrant Greenville multifamily market.”
