Durham, N.C.—Crescent Communities has opened Crescent Main Street, a 208-unit apartment property in Durham’s Ninth Street district. The property offers studios, and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with 10-foot ceilings in most units, walk-in closets and floor plans up to 2,000 square feet.
Common amenities include a health and wellness facility with private training room, pet spa and demonstration kitchen. Outdoors, there’s a resort-style pool with sundeck, outdoor kitchen and dining area, courtyard, community fire lounge and rooftop terrace.
The community is also Home Innovation NGBS Green Registered, meaning it’s designed to meet the criteria of the National Green Building Standard (NGBS). Third-party agents of Home Innovation Research Labs will independently verify its status under that standard.
The project was financed by an equity investment from Crescent Communities and a construction loan from Regions Bank. Cline Design Associates of Raleigh is the project and landscape architect; Historical Concepts of Atlanta the design consultant; and Clancy & Theys Construction of Charlotte the general contractor. Greystar manages the property.
Crescent Communities is no stranger to the Triangle area. Earlier this year, the company opened Crescent Ninth Street, which is also located in the Ninth Street district, and Crescent Cameron Village, the first multifamily development in Raleigh’s historic Cameron Village. In October, Crescent’s residential group named four builder partners for its Forest Ridge master-planned community in Hillsborough, NC; Forest Ridge homes are now under construction there.
