Miami—Woodside Oaks, a new Miami-based affordable apartment community designed by Forum Architecture & Interior Design Inc., has just completed construction.

The community, which is being developed by the Landmark Development Corporation, includes a series of three-story buildings with a total of 103 ground-level and townhome-style units.

Amenities include a clubroom, fitness area and pool.

Additionally the community is anticipated to receive LEED-Silver certification.

“Developing affordable housing communities that incorporate sustainable green elements is extremely important to us here at Landmark Development Corp.,” Justin Gilbert, senior project manager, Landmark Development Corp., tells MHN. “Through the careful design of Woodside Oaks Apartments, our residents will have the advantage of living in an EnergyStar-qualified home, which computes to an average saves of 20 percent off of their electric bill (as compared to a similar home that is not EnergyStar qualified). The community’s “Florida-friendly” landscape design helps minimize its footprint by reducing the amount of water needed for irrigation.”
