Rahway, N.J.—Construction has commenced on a 116-unit Sterling Properties, AST Development and Heartstone Development joint venture community in the heart of Rahway’s Arts and Central Business District.
The community, Metro Rahway, will emerge from a former industrial site as a state-of-the-art, transit-oriented community that will aim to cater to the needs of the modern renter with its desirable community amenities and chic residences.
“With a location in the heart of the city’s Arts and Central Business District, Metro Rahway will be ideal for individuals who enjoy having the ability to walk to shopping, dining and entertainment venues,” Rosanne Brooks, Sterling Properties’ director of sales and marketing, says. “Additionally, the development’s proximity to the train station will be the world at residents’ fingertips.”
The site for Metro Rahway is located on 1.6 acres on Campbell Street, between Elm Avenue and West Cherry Street—across the street from the Rahway train station, which will give renters easy access to NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast and Northeast Corridor lines.
The four-story community will feature a modern fitness studio and resident’s clubroom with sufficient space to work, relax or celebrate, as well as ground-floor access to the building’s private parking garage.
The units will be comprised of one- and two-bedroom floor plans, with highlights that include private entrances, nine-foot ceilings, ceramic-tiled kitchens with wood espresso cabinets and quartz countertops, along with ceramic-tiled bathroom floors, designer carpeting, stainless steel appliances, bedroom ceiling fans, full-sized washer and dryers and other notable features.
The community boasts close proximity to a handful of the city’s restaurants, shopping, art galleries and entertainment venues and the popular Rahway River Park.
“Metro Rahway will embrace the rich culture and lively arts scene of its home city,” AST Project Executive Shane Sorrano says. “We look forward to cutting the ribbon on what will surely be a transformative development for the City of Rahway.”
