Construction Begins on Miami Luxury High-Rise

The apartment building is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2019. The owners have retained ZRS Management to provide leasing and management services.

ZOM Florida and Invesco Real Estate broke ground on Maizon at Brickell, a 262-unit multifamily high-rise located within Miami’s Brickell district. The project will comprise both an eight-story mid-rise structure and a 19-story high-rise building with attached parking.

Located at 1100 SW 2nd Ave. on the west side of Southwest 2nd Avenue, between SW 11th Street and SW 12th Street, the project includes 15,259 square feet of retail. Maizon at Brickell is expected to deliver the first units in the first quarter of 2019, with pre-leasing starting in late 2018. The joint venture ownership has retained ZRS Management LLC to provide leasing and property management services.

According to Yardi Matrix, Santander Bank provided $51.8 million in construction financing. Moss is the general contractor, while MSA Architects Inc. is the architectural firm for the luxury high-rise. The project is within walking distance of Mary Brickell Village, Brickell City Centre, Miami Avenue and Brickell Avenue shopping venues, as well as more than 50 restaurants within a five-block radius.

Excellent Pedestrian Access

“We are excited to partner with Invesco Real Estate on our first ever development venture together,” said Kyle Clayton, ZOM Florida’s development vice president. “Our project site has excellent pedestrian access to the numerous retail, entertainment, and employment locations available in Brickell, and is also convenient to downtown Miami via the multi-modal public transportation nearby. Maizon will bring a new level of quality, unit features and amenities to the burgeoning West Brickell neighborhood,” he added.
