Jacksonville, Fla.—LandSouth Construction has begun the construction on Uptown Delray, a $26 million mixed-use apartment community in Delray, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 2016. Uptown Delray is located at the beach community’s downtown district on the corner of Federal Highway and S.E. 2nd street within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

NCC Development Group of Delray Beach, Fla., and Monogram Residential of Plano, Texas, are the developers for the project. Slattery and Associates, a full-service planning and architectural design firm, is designing the property.

“We are excited to be working again with NCC Development Group and Monogram Residential on this mixed use project,” says Joe Passkiewicz, vice president of operations for LandSouth Construction, “This project fits well in the downtown Delray Beach model that couples shopping, nightlife and upscale South Florida living.”

Currently, the plans for the building include 146 residences over 338,000 square feet of space. Amenities will include a third floor pool and amenity deck. There will also be a clubroom with an outdoor entertainment area which will contain refreshment seating, grilling areas, gardens and private terraces. Uptown Delray will have a mix of studio, one- and two- bedroom, two-bath apartment homes including lofts available. Unit interiors will include wood cabinetry, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The community is also expected to have a gym, gaming room, coffee bar, retail and gated parking.
