Chicago—With condominium inventory at fewer than 450 units in the Chicago area, according to Appraisal Research Counselors, buyers looking to own their own residence in the area still have options. More than 300 units have been sold at South Loop Luxury by Related but there are still residences available at the trio of buildings in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood.

“If buyers are still looking for a brand-new city condo, the South Loop should be one of their first stops,” says David Wolf, president of Related Realty, which oversees sales at South Loop Luxury By Related. “Not only is it a great Chicago neighborhood to call home, with terrific access to the Loop and Lake Michigan, it also has the best choice of new construction condos thanks to our South Loop Luxury Collection.

“And even though the three buildings are part of the same collection, they each have their own distinct personality and style, offer different locations and captivating views, and a range of floor plans, pricing and amenities,” Wolf adds. “We truly have something for everyone.”

The collection of towers was launched by Related in 2013 after the company re-imagined the three previously stalled projects by completely redesigning shared areas and features, as well as creating a set of set of interior finish packages.  Available units at the three buildings offer one- through three-bedroom residences that range in size from 900 to 3,000 square feet, with prices starting as low as the mid-$200,000s.

The last of the three buildings to be completed was Adler Place, a 32-story building located at 1629 South Prairie Avenue that offers residents views of Soldier Field, the Museum Campus and Burnham Harbor. Units in the building range from one to three bedrooms, with floor plan sizes from 900 to 1,582 square feet. Adler’s Signature finish package includes wide-plank engineered wood floors, master bathrooms adorned with natural stone tile and custom Snaidero teak vanity, while the kitchens include quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and custom Snaidero cabinetry. Prices at The Adler range from the mid-$200,000s to the $600,000.

“This model shows exactly why our South Loop collection can be such a great choice for first-time buyers,” says Wolf. “They get just a little more space and extra features like a den in their home. Plus, our Signature finish package is what really sets these buildings apart from any other new construction in the neighborhood, or in the city for that matter. We looked at every detail to make sure the quality and style of these finishes complement the modern city lifestyle our residents are looking for when they buy a home in the South Loop, and in the process we raised the bar for what buyers can expect in this area.”

The tallest building in the collection is The Grant, which is located at 1201 South Prairie Avenue and rises 54-stories just south of Grant Park. The floor plans include two-or three-bedroom units with options of two or three bathrooms.  Sizes range from 1,207 to 3,000 square feet and are selling between $450,000 and $1.7 million. Residences at The Grant feature open concept floor plans with chef’s kitchens.

“This floor plan has one-of-a-kind views spanning across Grant Park and Lake Michigan,” Wolf says. “And the living space is so ample, it’s just as ideal whether you’re a family looking for a condo with room to raise your children or empty nesters ready for the ease of condo living without sacrificing square footage.”
