Château Group and Fendi to Develop Condos Near Bal Harbour Shops

Surfside, Fla.—Developer Château Group and Fendi, the Italian fashion house, have inked a partnership to develop Fendi Château Residences, a 12-story waterfront condo building in Miami. The property will be at 9365 Collins Ave. in Surfside, two blocks south of the renowned upscale shopping mall, Bal Harbour Shops, and is slated for completion in mid-2016.

The new venture represents Rome-based Fendi’s first branded real estate project anywhere in the world. Its specialties include leather goods, eyewear, fragrances, watches and pens. Sunny Isles Beach, Fla.-based Château Group is a veteran South Florida residential and retail developer, with a number of projects in South America as well.

Fendi Château Residences will include 58 oceanfront residences and penthouses ranging in size from 3,300 square feet to more than 7,000 square feet, with prices from $5 million to $22 million. Each residence includes a Fendi Casa kitchen—a complete chef’s kitchen with custom Fendi Casa cabinets—and Gaggenau appliances.

Residents will also have the option to include Fendi Casa decorative elements throughout their apartment. According to the developer, the units will be characterized by distinctive materials such as streaked woods, smoky glass and bronzed reflections. The residences will boast 10-foot ceilings and glass-railed terraces.

Common amenities will include a private restaurant with a full chef’s kitchen; lounge with kitchen; library; business center; ballroom; kid’s club; private cinema; a fitness center overlooking the ocean; and bicycle storage. There will be a number of beachfront pools with cabanas, spas and Jacuzzis, and a relaxation terrace with aromatherapy. Residents also have access to a 24-hour multilingual concierge staff and a doorman and valet.
