ChargePro Gets Your Residents’ PEVs Juiced
Companies such as Bozzuto and LaSalle Investment Management have realized that there is a resident demand for convenient and fast ways to charge electric vehicles. The two firms recently selected SemaConnect to provide four electric vehicle charging stations at their Senate Square Towers property in Washington, D.C.

The main reason I have not purchased a Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) like the Tesla Model-S is because I don’t have $70,000 lying around my apartment. The main reason I have held back on leasing a PEV like a Nissan Leaf (yawn factor aside) is because I am an apartment dweller and there is no option for charging at my building. When I am touring my next prospective community, EV charging stations just might make their way onto my checklist.
It makes sense then that companies such as Bozzuto and LaSalle Investment Management have realized that there is a demand for convenient and fast ways to charge electric vehicles. The two firms recently selected SemaConnect to provide four electric vehicle charging stations at their Senate Square Towers property located at 201 I Street NE in Washington, D.C. The asset is billed as the first luxury rental property in the H Street Corridor, and tenant demand was largely responsible for the charging stations.

The sleek, space saving design of the ChargePro chargers were likely a selling point. In addition, the weather resistant units can be mounted to a pedestal, wall or pole, giving managers a range of choice for locations in either new construction or existing product. Additional space can be saved with the dual pedestal charting station (pictured above), which can charge two vehicles at once while you only have to be concerned with one installation.
SemaConnect also offers ChargePro Diver Manager software that lets both station owners and EV drivers keep track of their charging sessions. Features include e-mail and text notifications, debit/credit card enabled payment, 24/7 customer support, mapping tools for additional charging locations and real-time data on charging status.
