North White Plains, N.Y.—CBRE Group has been named by Peckham Industries Inc. the exclusive sales agent for a 1.67-acre site in North White Plains, N.Y. The transit-oriented development site is exceptionally well-suited for a multifamily development, CBRE reports.
The property comprises several adjacent parcels situated at 20 Haarlem Ave., 18 Glenn St., and 2, 7, 11 and 20 Holland Ave. Real estate industry veteran and CBRE Executive Vice President William Cuddy Jr., as well as CBRE Senior Associate Jacqueline Novonty, have been named to spearhead the marketing of the property.
The land is centrally located and provides immediate access to I-287 at Exit 6, the Bronx River Parkway and NYS Route 22. Conceptual planning suggest that the site can easily accommodate more than 175 residences.
An open-space park would be incorporated within the development, offering local residents green space for relaxation.
“Development of multifamily residential properties near transportation hubs is a major industry trend throughout the country, and particularly in Westchester County,” Cuddy said.
“This unique site, in the very desirable neighborhood of White Plains, is situated across from the North White Plains Metro-North train station, with a 35-minute commute to Grand Central Station. The property offers developers the opportunity to develop a luxury multifamily residential facility with abundant county parkland, restaurants, offices and shopping all within walking distance. The site is the definition of transit-oriented development, with ‘live, work and play’ benefits.”
The site is within a short distance of Century Country Club, Knollwood Country Club, Metropolis Country Club, Kensico Dam Plaza Country Park, Cranberry Lake Preserve, Travis Hill Park, Westchester Community College and White Plains Hospital.
