Capitol Seniors Housing Opens Chicago Community

Arbor Terrace Naperville includes 95 units and offers amenities designed to foster socialization and engagement, including an art studio and a sun room.

Capitol Seniors Housing has completed a new assisted living and memory care community, Arbor Terrace Naperville, which is in the west suburban Naperville in the Chicago area. The community, at 2920 Leverenz Rd. in the Cantore Place development, has 95 units.

According to the developer, Arbor Terrace Naperville offers various amenities designed to foster socialization and engagement, including a fireside living room, library, theater and sunrooms. Dining options include a restaurant, private family dining room, and a casual café and bistro lounge.

Other amenities include an art studio, salon and spa, and a fitness room. The interior, designed by Dallas-based Faulkner Design Group, features finishes and furniture accentuated with the colors of blues and greens.

Participating in Senior Sector Growth

Momentum in the seniors housing space is growing, according to Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2018, recently released by PwC and the Urban Land Institute. That growth will be sustained over the long run by the fact that the 65 and older population will increase to 75.5 million by 2030, the report noted.

Capitol Seniors Housing is a robust developer of senior housing properties. Currently it has other properties under way, mostly in the Northeastern United States, and all of them are slated for opening before the end of 2018.

They are Atria Norwood (New Jersey), an 83-unit community; Arbor Terrace Mountainside (New Jersey), a 79-unit community; Stonegate at Greenburgh (New York), a 101-unit community; Chelsea Senior Living of Shrewsbury (New Jersey), an 85-unit community; Arbor Terrace Mt. Laurel (New Jersey), an 88-unit community; Stone Hill of Andover (Massachusetts), a 96-unit community; and Arbor Terrace Maple Lawn (Maryland), an 86-unit community.

Besides Arbor Terrace Naperville, Capitol Seniors Housing also has other holdings in the Chicago market, including Atria Glenview, an 83-unit senior community under construction in north suburban Glenview targeted to open in late 2018. The company also owns the Summit of Uptown in Park Ridge, a 147-unit community operated by Arbor Company that offers independent living, assisted living and memory care.
