Campus Realty Advisors has broken ground on Catalyst, a 187-unit, purpose-built student housing community adjacent to the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. The project is scheduled to be completed and opened for occupancy by the start of the fall semester in 2021.

The developer is building the community in West Midtown Atlanta in partnership with Dutch investment group Realiance and privately held real estate investment firm T2 Capital Management Campus Realty will oversee the development and asset management of the property, located on Northside Drive nearby a trolley and bus stop.

The property’s 187 apartment units will include 532 bedrooms, each of which will have its own bathroom. Amenities will include a commercial-quality fitness center, a swimming pool deck, a sky deck, three courtyards, 24-hour package delivery lockers and multiple study rooms in each building. The community will cater to students at Georgia Tech, a public research university with an enrollment of more than 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

In January, Campus Reality teamed up with T2 and Realiance to acquire a 2,282-bed student housing portfolio consisting of four properties in university markets in Washington, Texas, Tennessee and Georgia.
