Bucci Development Sells South Carolina Apartments

Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller in its disposition of The Village at Lake Wylie, a 392-unit property in Charlotte's submarket of Lake Wylie, S.C.

Southwood Realty/Triangle Real Estate has acquired The Village at Lake Wylie, an apartment community situated in the fast-growth Charlotte, N.C. submarket of Lake Wylie, S.C. Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Bucci Development Inc., in the transaction.

The 392-unit Village at Lake Wylie is situated at 11 Cranston Way across 36 acres. The property was developed in 2002. The community features one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Among the features and finishes of the apartments are built-in computer desks and high-speed Internet capability, oversized private balconies or patios, crown moldings and chair rails. The apartment community’s most prominent amenity is a clubhouse with business center and fitness center.

Organic growth

Lake Wylie is part of a fast-growing southwestern submarket of Charlotte. The submarket has been characterized in recent years by brisk expansion of the job market, robust development activity and availability of many shopping and dining venues.

Recreational opportunities near Lake Wylie include McDowell Nature Preserve, an 1,100-acre park offering fishing, boating and hiking; Thomas McAlister Winget Park, featuring playing fields and picnic shelters with grills; and Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, a 380-acre green space with woodlands, meadows and lake.
