BRIDGE Elects Molly Turner to Board of Directors

The former Airbnb director and urban tech expert will be the new board member of the San Francisco-based nonprofit.

Molly Turner has joined the board of directors of BRIDGE Housing. The Harvard graduate is an expert in technology startups and urban planning.

Turner is a lecturer at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where she teaches the “Tech and the City: How to Get Urban Innovation Right” class to graduate MBAs. Her work experience includes the role of global head of civic partnerships with Airbnb, where she established the company’s public policy team in 2011.

She also directed the firm’s partnerships with governments around the world, as well as its international disaster response program, neighborhood tourism development program and the platform’s 2015 launch in Cuba. Previously, she worked for the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, the UNESCO World Heritage Cities Program and an urban planning consulting firm.

Turner is also an independent adviser to urban tech startups and a board member of urban policy think tank SPUR. She has a master’s degree in urban planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. Molly Turner’s expertise on how technology impacts cities will play a big part in the nonprofit’s work in communities across the West Coast, according to BRIDGE Housing President & CEO, Patricia Turner.
