Brickstone Unveils Plans for Class A+ Minneapolis Development

Minneapolis—Brickstone Partners recently unveiled three proposed design plans for 3100 Lake St.—a Class A+ multifamily development located on the north side of Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. Currently an office building, the property was slated for redevelopment after Brickstone purchased it in August 2015.
“We are attracted to Minnesota, and this site in particular, for many reasons, including its history of strong community and commitment to sustainable, forward-thinking design,” Dan Otis, principal at Brickstone Partners, said in a statement.
“After receiving initial feedback on our original plan for a taller building, the Cedar-Isles-Dean Neighborhood Association, or CIDNA, requested we provide the neighborhood with three options that we considered to be more reasonable in height and more consistent with the neighborhood,” Otis continued.
The designs are up for review by the Cedar-Isles-Dean Neighborhood Association (CIDNA), and include: a 13-story tower constructed of high-quality concrete and high-end finishes; a 9-story, C-shaped concrete and wood structure; and a 6-story, wood-frame donut-shaped building.
All three designs include approximately 200 units and 295 underground parking spaces, with high-end amenities such as a rooftop pool, fitness center and yoga rooms. A gourmet coffee shop and juice bar at street level will also be featured at the community.
