Bonaventure Senior Living Begins Central Oregon Development
The property will include a mix of independent living, assisted living and memory care units.

Bonaventure Senior Living has started work on a 151-unit senior living community in Corvallis, Ore. The property is slated to open in late 2027.
When it comes to market, Bonaventure’s new project will offer 62 independent living, 62 assisted living and 27 memory care units. The apartments will be available in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floorplans, each featuring kitchenettes, individually controlled climate systems, emergency call systems and home-like finishes. Many units will have views of the Willamette Valley and its central Oregon landscape.
Amenities will include restaurant-style dining and a bistro for casual dining and socializing. The property will also feature a golf simulator, activity and game rooms, a fitness center, a theater room and a full-service salon and barber shop. The property located, at 2700 NW Kings Blvd. in Corvallis, will offer scheduled transportation services and weekly housekeeping and laundry services.

The new Corvallis community will feature the company’s Life Stations approach to memory care. These themed spaces are designed to engage residents in activities that stimulate memories and provide a sense of purpose throughout the day, according to the company.
According to Bonaventure, the Life Stations will create familiar environments that tap into residents’ long-term memories, reducing anxiety and promoting well-being through activities such as an “Artists Life Station” for creative expression; “Gardening Life Station,” and “Fishing Life Station,” recreating outdoor experiences. A “Post Office Life Station” offers familiar organizational tasks, while the “Classic Ice Cream Parlor” creates a social gathering space.
Bonaventure Senior Living owns 24 operational independent living, assisted living and memory care communities in Oregon and Washington state. Early in April, the company sold its four Colorado communities to Oakmont Senior Living, a California-based senior living operator with a growing national footprint.
Senior housing demand strong, supply anemic
Demand for senior housing continues on an upward trend, according to NIC MAP data, with occupancy gaining ground for the 19th consecutive quarter in first quarter of 2026, reaching 89.5 percent.
Supply growth, on the other hand, is still sluggish, as it has been since the pandemic. Fewer than 3,000 senior housing units opened in primary U.S. markets during the same period. Most quarters since 2020 have seen fewer than 2,000 units added; before the pandemic, the quarterly average was nearly 5,000 units.
Nevertheless, some development is occurring. In March, Pennrose started work on Kite Route Crossing, a 50-unit, age-restricted affordable community in Superior, Colo. The same month, Watercrest Senior Living Group and Harbert Seniors Housing Fund II LP completed work on Watercrest Fredericksburg Assisted Living and Memory Care, a 142-unit senior community in Fredericksburg, Va.
