Blaze Partners has purchased Legacy Village Apartments, a 229-unit community in Mooresville, N.C., from Charter Properties. The new owner intends to invest additional capital into interior upgrades and amenity improvements. Legacy Village is Blaze Partner’s fourth acquisition in Charlotte. In March, the company also purchased The Gibson, a 250-unit luxury community in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood, roughly a mile northeast of Uptown Charlotte.

Located at 121 Village Green Lane on 13 acres, Legacy Village is within walking distance of Lowe’s corporate headquarters and Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, two of the largest employers in the area. The nine-building community is just off Interstate 77, which provides access to various retail options: Port Village Shopping Center, Mooresville Crossing retail center and Winslow Bay Commons are all within 5 miles of the asset.

Built in 2017, Legacy Village consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with balconies and patios. Amenities include a saltwater swimming pool, pet park, resident clubhouse, media room and fitness center, among others. According to Yardi Matrix data, the community was 97.8 percent occupied as of November.
