Irvine, Calif.—Bernards, a nationally ranked commercial builder, has been awarded the construction contract for Carlyle at Colton Plaza, a multi-million dollar residential community in Irvine, Calif.
The community, which is designed by KTGY Group Inc., is located near John Wayne Airport. Carlyle contains units with two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as penthouse units, for a total of 156 units. The apartments range from 1,240 to 1,580 square feet.
Building amenities include a resort-style pool and spa with cabanas, outdoor lounges with fireplaces and gas grills, clubroom with kitchen, fitness center, courtyards, and controlled-access entry. Additionally there is a parking garage with 387 spaces.
Carlyle at Colton Plaza is owned and developed by New Pacific Realty Corporation, a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based real estate investment firm. New Pacific acquired the community in 2009 from a lender, which had foreclosed on the previous ownership.
“We are happy to see this project moving forward again after falling victim to the economy,” KTGY Principal Keith Labus, AIA, LEED AP and Carlyle at Colton Plaza’s lead designer, tells MHN. “New Pacific Realty and Bernards have been great to work with and watching a project go up in our backyard is always a bonus.”
Carlyle at Colton Plaza is scheduled to be complete in the summer of 2013.
