Berger Communities Opens Central PA Luxury Property

Berger Communities has opened 202 Queen, a 142-unit luxury community in Lancaster, Pa.
The developer broke ground on the project, the largest residential development in the city, in March 2023. A $31.4 million loan provided by Wilmington Savings Fund Society financed its construction, according to Yardi Matrix information.
The development team also included design firm BartonPartners and general contractor Benchmark Construction.

The 12-story building comprises studio, one- and two-bedroom floorplans, varying in size from 443 to 952 square feet, as well as some 2,800 square feet of retail space. Apartments feature digital locks, walk-in closets and stainless steel appliances.
Common-area amenities include a fitness center, lounge areas, work-from-home spaces, a rooftop deck and a dog wash station. The property also has coffee lounges, fire pits and grills, as well as a community lounge and a quiet room.
The building is at 202 N. Queen St., within the city’s central business district and close to an array of dining and retail options. Lancaster Airport is some 6 miles northeast of the property.
