BDG Architects and PKA Architects Join Forces

Tampa, Fla.—Effective December 1, 2013, BDG Architects and PKA Architects are uniting architectural practices to expand client relationships beyond the Southeast. The combination of these two firms will create a much stronger regional presence beyond the eastern U.S. into the Midwest and Texas.

Individually, BDG Architects and PKA Architects are two of the strongest architecture firms in the Southeast with extensive expertise in financial institution, prototype development and ADA compliance. Together the two firms have completed over $2.5 billion in construction projects over the past 10 years. The firm’s combined talent and depth of experience will elevate the firm with personnel, expertise, and experience to work on projects of any type, size and scope.

BDG Architects will have 65 total employees including 20 licensed architects and five interior designers with the corporate headquarters located at 100 S. Ashley Dr., Suite 100 Tampa, Fla. 33602. Chris Kirschner AIA, NCARB, LEED AP will remain the President of the firm and all PKA Architects staff and existing projects will be folded into BDG Architects.

BDG Architects is an architectural and design firm with over 20 years of experience whose service offerings include program management, architecture, prototype development, consulting, interior design, planning and sustainability. Their portfolio includes major venue, hospitality, multifamily, and retail projects. The firm has been involved with a number of high profile projects including Chase banks, PDQ restaurants, and Hilton hotels nationwide.

PKA Architects is a full service architecture and interior design firm with 22 years of experience. Their extensive architecture experience lies in financial institutions, corporate office planning, hospitality, due diligence and ADA compliance. Recent and ongoing projects of note include, Regions Bank prototype development, Indian Hill Country Club and the Four Points Sheraton.
