Flower Mound, Texas—Avanti Senior Living will build Avanti at Flower Mound, a $15 million assisted living and memory care community in Flower Mound, Texas, commencing building in January with an expected occupancy of early spring 2016.
“In addition to the unrivaled care we will provide to exceed our residents’ expectations, the design of the community will be such that family members, including children and friends will want to visit often,” Lori Juneau-Alford, Avanti Senior Living’s COO, tells MHN. “Our Avanti mission is to impact the community, change lives, ignite passions and radically improve the lives of seniors. Our designated, private areas for visiting doctors and telehealth technology will surely help us attract the finest of medical care for our residents.”
When finished, Avanti at Flower Mound will consist of homes for at least 90 seniors, living amongst a 77,000-square-foot residence.
Amenities will include a state-of–the-art wellness center with a ballet bar and fitness equipment, an art studio with a beautiful stone wall for residents to display artwork, a theatre, extra-large outdoor areas including numerous courtyards and other destinations for residents to just relax and visit with friends and family.
“Our community will have a coffee and wine/bar lounge as well as a kids’ playground around which families can congregate. And, beautiful themed courtyards to just walk around in or even dine alfresco,” Juneau-Alford says. “We are creating a space that will be much like a boutique hotel complete with delicious food, made to order in our green kitchen. And lastly, the cutting-edge technology employed both in design and health and wellness features will ensure safety, comfort and fun.”
It will also offer a full service spa, complete with relaxation therapy, aromatherapy and deep tissue massage.
“Our well-trained team we will take exceptional care of our residents and inspire them to live a full life,” Juneau-Alford says. “And, our team members will be well provided for as well with a deluxe lounge right in the heart of the community to relax in complete with bean bags and numerous charging stations.”
According to Juneau-Alford, the company’s extensive feasibility studies indicated that the population in this area needed a community that offered support for fairly independent seniors as well as those in need of memory care in a special climate.
Avanti is partnering with architects at PRDG, interior designers at studioSIX5, and brokers and developers at Cypressbrook Company to make the community a reality.
