Arjun Nagarkatti Is New President of AMCAL

Agoura Hills, Calif.–AMCAL Multi-Housing Inc. recently promoted Arjun Nagarkatti to president. In his new role, Nagarkatti will oversee the management of all AMCAL departments, as well as property developments, and will report to the company’s principal and CEO Percy Vaz.

Vaz will continue to collaborate with the company’s Management Committee to formulate long-term strategic growth and operational goals. His near-term focus will be on acquiring distressed apartment assets in the western states and launching a new market-rate apartment development company in California.

Nagarkatti previously served as AMCAL’s executive vice president since 2004, where he was responsible for structuring AMCAL’s market-rate and affordable projects financing, which include residential and mixed-use. During the past three years, AMCAL has planned for the transition of Nagarkatti succeeding Vaz as president with responsibilities for day-to-day operations.

Under the leadership of Vaz and Nagarkatti, AMCAL has developed and constructed or $576 million in real estate during the last two decades.

Nagarkatti joined AMCAL in 1988, where he began his career as an assistant project manager overseeing the sales and marketing of single- and multifamily for-sale housing tracts.
