Dr. Rosemary Carucci Goss is the Residential Property Management Advisory Board Professor of Housing at Virginia Tech University and has given leadership to the development of the first residential property management program in the United State. In recognition of this leadership, the National Apartment Association (NAA) elected her to the charter board of directors of the National Apartment Association Education Institute in 2004 and awarded her the organization’s first Apartment Career and Education Award in 2006. A faculty member at Virginia Tech for over three decades, Dr. Goss is an award-winning teacher—having received two certificates of teaching excellence, an Excellence in Undergraduate Advising award, and the university’s academic career advising award.
Stephanie Moore Hager is a demonstrated leader and celebrated interior designer with a national reputation in the architecture and design industry. With more than 22 years of experience focusing on multifamily installations and commercial design, Hager and her award-winning team offer a level of excellence that exceeds the most rigorous standards within the industry. Established in 1991, Dallas-based Moore Design Group has entrenched itself as one of the leading designers of multifamily living communities in North America. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) recognized many of Moore Design Group’s projects with The Pillars of the Industry Award. The firm has also been honored by the ASID Texas Chapter with Design Ovation Awards and Legacy of Design Awards.
Israel Carunungan is the Director of Property Marketing for Greystar, the country’s largest property management company. He is responsible for national marketing initiatives and vendor relations. Israel is an award-winning marketing professional with over 20 years of marketing, media and advertising experience. He has previously worked as the vice president of Marketing for The Bozzuto Group, a Mid-Atlantic regional real estate firm, and as the National Director of Marketing for New York City-based TGM Associates. He spent his earlier career in media, having worked at National Geographic, U.S. News and World Report and Hanley Wood—publisher of Multifamily Executive and Builder magazine.
Bill Brake is a Vice President for Related Management Company and has over 18 years experience in property management. In this capacity, he directly supervises the operations of 23 high-rise luxury buildings with nearly 6,000 units and 350 employees in New York City, DC, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angles. He works closely with the NYC based Related Development team and collaborates on new projects to ensure construction methods are consistent with management and marketing needs. Prior to joining Related in 2000, Brake was a district manager for Concord Management Limited overseeing multiple market rate/tax credit communities in New York and Ohio specializing in opening new sites and focusing on sites with special needs. Brake graduated from Muskingum College with a BS in Biology. He is a Certified Property Manager and a member of IREM. He is also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Long Island Board of Realtors, and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker.
Anup K. Misra is Senior Vice President of Development at Wood Partners. An experienced real estate leader with 27 years in development, redevelopment, acquisition, disposition, design and construction of multifamily and assisted living assets, Misra has held positions at Atria Senior Living Group, Atherton-Newport Investments, Archstone-Smith Trust, Apartment Investment and Management Co., and Hines Interest Limited Partnership in addition to founding architectural services firms in various locations. Misra has established and managed regional operations in New York/New Jersey/ Connecticut and Northeast markets for national multifamily merchant developers and REITs. He has also developed/redeveloped over 7,600 market rate and affordable multifamily units as well as 950 market-rate assisted living and dementia units. A licensed architect in New York, Misra also has an MBA from Columbia University with a concentration in Strategy and Finance, a Master of Architecture from Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, India.
