AMCAL Promotes Mario Turner to VP, Development in OC Office

AMCAL Multi-Housing Inc. recently promoted Mario Turner to vice president of development for the company’s Orange County office

Agoura Hills, Calif.–AMCAL Multi-Housing Inc. recently promoted Mario Turner to vice president of development for the company’s Orange County office. In his new position, Turner will oversee AMCAL developments in Orange, San Diego and Imperial counties, while also securing deals for future development in the region.

In addition, Turner will continue to manage AMCAL’s Orange County office, which provides a variety of services including land acquisition, development and entitlement, project financing, tax credit applications and owner representation during the construction process.

Turner joined AMCAL in 2006 as the director of development for the Orange County office, where he played a critical role in the development of Los Vientos, the company’s first San Diego community, and Royale, its first community in Orange County in the city of Westminster.

Prior to joining the AMCAL team, Turner served as Housing Development Administrator for the Orange County Housing and Community Services Department, where he was responsible for the development, implementation and administration of the County’s affordable housing finance programs. He was also directly responsible for the negotiation and disposition of County-owned land for affordable housing development. He also served as project developer for Mercy Housing California, where he managed affordable housing project development in Southern California.
