Houston—Eagle’s Trace, a 71-acre continuing care retirement community for seniors age 62-plus, located in West Houston, has expanded its footprint with the addition of a new independent living resident building.
Amarillo Terrace encompasses 180,000 square feet and 108 residences with amenities such as stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, screened-in porches and patios. Additionally, the community boasts an upscale restaurant with a spacious dining room, a lounge for happy hours and outdoor patio dining. Common area facilities include a new media room, fitness center and meeting space.
“The opening of Amarillo Terrace is a testament to the demand for the active lifestyle and amenities our residents enjoy, the convenience of our on-site health and wellness offerings and our ideal location in West Houston,” Pamela Burgeson, director of sales, said in prepared remarks. “We are so proud of the level of detail that went into the final product. The floor plan designs of Amarillo Terrace are based on thorough customer feedback. Because of that personal touch, these new homes are reserving quickly,” she added.
Amarillo Terrace is connected to the main clubhouse of Eagle’s Trace by a climate controlled walkway. There are several services available, including the medical center, convenience store, salon and bank. In addition, the continuing care neighborhood provides 112 residences with assisted living, memory care, post-acute rehabilitation and nursing care services.
Texas-based JHP Architecture served as the project architect and Whiting Turner is the general contractor.
