Manvel, Texas—Allied Orion Group has broken ground on Southfork Lake, a 328-unit apartment community in Manvel, Texas. The property, designed by Steinberg Design Collaborative Architects, will open in the summer of 2016.
Allied Orion COO Kirk Tate characterizes the property as having “the benefits of a suburban lifestyle yet easy access to the advantages the city.” Southfork Lake is at 3333 Southfork Parkway in Manvel, a town in Brazoria County, about 20 miles south of downtown Houston and not far from Pearland Town Center.
Floor plans range from one to three bedrooms and feature granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and 9-foot ceilings. Common amenities will include resort-style swimming pool with cabanas, courtyard with grilling stations, and wellness/fitness center with an interactive Wellbeats group fitness system.
The property will also offer a pond and walking track, an air-conditioned pet care center, and an unusually large dog park–6,000 square feet of space with separate areas for large and small dogs. Southfork Lake will have a cyber café with Wi-Fi access, and both attached and detached garages.
Allied Onion’s been quite active recently in its home market of greater Houston. The developer broke ground this year on the Beacon at Buffalo Pointe, a 281-unit apartment complex in southwest Houston, and also opened the Retreat at Riverstone, an apartment development in Riverstone, a Fort Bend-area (suburban Houston) master-planned community.
