Alliance to Bring Workforce Housing to Atlanta
The community is slated to welcome its first residents next year.
Alliance Residential Co. has acquired 50 acres in the fast-growing Atlanta suburb of Cartersville, Ga. It plans to build Prose Cartersville, its second Prose-branded development in the expanding suburban area north of Atlanta.
Offering workforce housing to serve a high-growth employment corridor, Prose Cartersville will feature one- and two-bedroom apartments that average 987 square feet in size. Features and finishes of the residences will include white shaker cabinets, granite countertops, dining-sized entertainment kitchen islands, kitchen and linen pantries and walk-in closets in all bedrooms. Featured prominently among the common-area amenities of Prose Cartersville will be a pool with shelf-seating area.
Near employers
To be located at 100 Overlook Parkway, Prose Cartersville will be well situated to allow future residents to take full advantage of the I-75 employment corridor north of Atlanta.
Cartersville itself is the base for such significant employers as Shaw Industries Group, Toyo Tires and Anheuser-Busch. The next several years promise to bring Cartersville more than $500 million in new capital investment and additional thousands of jobs.
Cartersville is also a municipality with small-town history and charm. Located 43 miles from Atlanta and just 80 miles from Chattanooga, Tenn., Prose Cartersville will allow residents easy driving distances to shopping centers, hospitals, schools, lifestyle centers and a variety of outdoor recreation destinations.
The community is slated to welcome its first residents in the third quarter of next year.
Alliance Residential Co. is swiftly expanding its Prose branded communities within the Peachtree State. A trio of Prose-branded developments are currently in lease-up or under construction in metropolitan Atlanta. Several more are scheduled to break ground in the coming year. Earlier this month, the firm acquired the Vue Los Feliz apartment community in Los Angeles.
