Denver–Apartment Investment and Management Co. (Aimco) recently received the 2009 Communities of Quality Program Award from the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA).

For the third consecutive year, Aimco was recognized for having the nation’s greatest number of multifamily communities that have earned NAHMA’s “Communities of Quality” (COQ) certification for excellence in affordable property management, customer service, personnel performance and other areas. The award was formally presented to Aimco at NAHMA’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

Aimco has 114 apartment communities that have earned recognition as a COQ, a designation earned by achieving high ratings for outstanding physical surroundings, resident service and management practices. “Maintaining a portfolio of the largest number of Communities of Quality for the third year in a row is a significant achievement,” says Kris Cook, NAHMA executive director.
“We are honored to receive NAHMA’s recognition, which reflects our mission of meeting the need for quality affordable housing,” says Tony D’Alto, executive vice president for Operations. “Our dedicated team members are most deserving of this award. They have a deep commitment to providing excellent customer service and to creating an outstanding living environment for our residents.”
