Affordable Housing Conference of Montgomery County Names RKR Construction 'Builder of the Year'
The Affordable Housing Conference of Montgomery County (AHCMC) recently named RKR Construction, located in College Park, the “2012 Builder of the Year.”
North Bethesda, Md.—The Affordable Housing Conference of Montgomery County (AHCMC) recently named RKR Construction, located in College Park, the “2012 Builder of the Year.” The award will be presented to Ken Rehfuss, LEED, AP, president of RKR Construction, at AHCMC’s Summit to be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center in North Bethesda.
RKR Construction is best known for its work on older, affordable multifamily buildings in the Washington area. Montgomery County buildings renovated include: Pooks Hill Apartments in Bethesda (Montgomery County’s oldest high-rise building), Gilbert Highlands in Takoma Park and Forest Oak Towers, an elderly apartment building in Gaithersburg.
The 2012 Affordable Housing Conference, “New Realities – New Solutions” will feature panels on housing and jobs, foreclosures, multifamily rental, special needs housing, veterans housing, green housing and sustainable design and transit and housing.
