Hudson Capital Properties has started construction on The Retreat at Coastal Grand, a 194-unit luxury community for residents aged 55 years and over in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The developer enters the booming active adult market having GHK Cape Fear Development and C&S Commercial Properties as partners. The development is slated for completion in late 2021.

Located at 391 Seaboard St. in the Grand Strand, the development site is across the road from Coastal Grand Mall, with several other shopping options less than half a mile east. With easy access to golf courses and beaches, the property is 2.4 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach International Airport and 2.8 miles northwest of the city center.

Designed by architecture firm Cline Design, the four-story building will house one-and two-bedroom apartments. Community amenities will include a swimming pool, ponds, walking trails and bocce courts, as well as a clubhouse with fitness rooms, a theater and arts and crafts rooms.
