Santa Monica, Calif.—When you think of affordable housing, the term “luxury” often isn’t the first word you think of when you hear “affordable housing”—if you even think of the term at all. But NMS Properties Inc. is looking to change this. The Calif.-based development firm recently opened their Luxe @ Broadway Studio Apartments, the newest addition to their affordable multifamily portfolio.

The mixed-use community will feature 97 studio and junior one units, which will be located above a retail level and three floors of subterranean parking. The studios will range from 362 to 409 square feet, and the junior one units range from 404 to 440 square feet.

Amenities for Luxe @ Broadway include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and Elfa closet systems.

Additionally, the community is centrally located, and is accessible to local attractions such as Universal Studios, MTV and Google, as well as Santa Monica College and St. Jon’s Hospital.

“NMS Properties has redefined affordable living choices in Santa Monica with our latest project Luxe @ Broadway Studio Apartments,” Jim Andersen, president, NMS Properties, said in a press statement. “Our focus on upgraded interior finishes is equally matched with interesting exterior spaces that lends to the overall original design aesthetic.”
