Landmark JV Acquires Ole Miss Student Housing Asset

Completed in 2016, the property totals 642 beds.

A joint venture of Landmark Properties, Peninsula Investments and Liberty Mutual Investments—the investment firm for Liberty Mutual Group—has acquired The Domain at Oxford, a 642-bed student housing community in Oxford, Miss. Shore to Shore Properties previously owned the asset, according to Yardi Matrix information.

Walker & Dunlop brokered the deal, while TSB Capital arranged the acquisition financing.

Shore to Shore Properties completed the property in 2016 using funds from a Lument-originated note, then took out a $42 million loan from The RMR Group in 2024, the same data provider shows.

The Domain at Oxford comprises eight residential buildings spread across more than 37 acres. The unit mix includes one-, two- and four-bedroom floorplans ranging from 558 to 1,684 square feet. The fully furnished apartments have private balconies and patios, as well as bed-to-bath parity.

Common-area amenities include a clubhouse, a fitness center, a golf simulator, a screening theatre, a swimming pool and deck, along with recreational green space and 756 parking spaces. The community also has basketball and sand volleyball courts and study rooms.

Landmark’s continuous student housing expansion

Earlier this year, Landmark Properties acquired a 27-acre site in Oxford to build The Station at Oxford. The new student housing development will comprise 817 beds and is set to come online next year. The community will be less than 3 miles from The Domain at Oxford.

Also in a partnership with Peninsula Investments, the company completed and opened Narrative at Columbia, an 826-bed student community in Columbia, S.C. The cottage-style property serves the University of South Carolina.
