BH Management Services Names New President
Previously the chief operating officer, Melody King has been with the company since 2013.
BH Management Services has named Melody King as its new President. King was previously the company’s Chief Operating Officer of Property Operations.
King has worked at BH Management Services since 2013, with nearly 30 years of experience in the multifamily and student housing sectors. She initially began her career as leasing consultant, later advancing across a mix of operational and leadership roles.
Joanna Zabriskie, previously holding the positions of both president & chief executive officer, will continue as CEO, prioritizing capital raising, portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships and stronger cross-platform alignment across parent company Pretium’s residential ecosystem.

As President, King will strengthen the management firm’s strategic focuses and support the company toward its next stages of growth.

Serving under the larger BH Cos. umbrella, BH Management Services is part of a group including BH Equities, which focuses on investment, BH Construction, the development arm and BH Architecture & Design, the company’s design services provider. The company currently operates 377 properties across 37 states, totaling 107,000 units.
BH Management Services has been owned by Pretium since 2024. In May of last year, Pretium has completed its acquisition of the company, with the transaction adding over 7,200 employees and 210,000 multifamily units and houses. They’re home to nearly 700,000 residents and homeowners.
