West Miami, Fla.—Ground has been broken on Gables Prado, an apartment development in West Miami, an inner suburb of Miami also near Coral Gables. The property, at 950 S. Red Road, includes 194 units.

Estate Investments Group, Mattoni Group and Fortune Capital Partners teamed up to develop Gables Prado. Previously, the development group built Gables Gate Tower City, which is also in West Miami. The town, which has only about 6,100 residents, isn’t very large physically either, measuring 0.7 square miles

The new property offers one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans, which will feature wrap-around balconies, floor-to-ceiling impact-resistant windows, covered parking and 24-hour security. The apartments will feature 9-foot ceilings and porcelain tile floors.

Common amenities include swimming pool with cabanas and grilling stations, a poolside fitness center, saunas and a recreation center. The incorporation of work/live unit designs into the project will offer residents the opportunity to conduct licensed business activities from their residences.

The Estate Investments Group (part of the Estate Cos.) was formed in 2012 and focuses on the development and investment opportunities involving land and residential projects in which the firm’s principal and officers have been conducting business for over three decades. Mattoni and Fortune Capital are both locally based real estate specialists.
