Wood Partners Sees a Strong Lease-Up in Charlotte
Wood Partners has opened Perimeter Lofts, a new 246-unit apartment community in the heart of the booming Northlake area of Charlotte, N.C.

Charlotte, N.C.—Wood Partners has opened Perimeter Lofts, a new 246-unit apartment community in the heart of the booming Northlake area of Charlotte, N.C.
The development is located on 10.6 acres at 10110 Perimeter Parkway, and consists of two four-story buildings and six carriage buildings with a mix of flats, carriage, loft and direct-access “brownstone” units. It is currently 55 percent leased.
“Perimeter Lofts has great access to both I-77 and I-485, is adjacent to approximately three million square feet of Class A retail and only 12 minutes from downtown Charlotte,” Carter Siegel, Wood Partners’ director, tells MHN. “We are looking for opportunities to deliver communities that have an ‘urban’ feel without the sky-high rents that are required on all infill sites.”
Residents may choose from one-, two- and three bedroom loft apartments with upgraded features and a host of exclusive amenities available.
Designed by Geheber Lewis Associates, the community has a saltwater/mineral pool, Cyber café, and a state-of-the-art dog care facility. Additionally, it offers two connected courtyards, multiple pocket parks and lawns, and an oversize pool area.
According to Siegel, the location offers some of the best retail and restaurants in the Charlotte area. The community is part of the Perimeter Wood mixed-use center and directly adjacent to Taubman’s North Lake Mall, whose anchors include Belk, Macy’s, Dillard’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and AMC Theatres.
Perimeter Lofts is less than 12 minutes from uptown Charlotte, the city’s largest employment center, and is a short distance from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
“It is receiving strong interest because we are offering a contemporary living experience at a substantial discount to comparable uptown locations,” Siegel says. “Perimeter Lofts is an extremely affordable, alternative urban living option in Charlotte.”
Wood Partners currently owns 77 properties with a combined total of over 20,200 units.
