Wood Partners Breaks Ground on Denver-area Project
The building will occupy the last parcel of a 156-acre mixed-use district.

Wood Partners has commenced construction on Alta Flatirons, a 251-unit apartment community located in Superior, Colo., a town at the midpoint between Denver and Boulder. When completed in 2027, the community will fill the final multifamily parcel in the Downtown Superior Masterplan, a 156-acre project features a mix of homes, offices, retail, hospitality and entertainment spaces.
Alta Flatirons is itself across the street from a planned life science office development that will span 300,000 square feet of space.
When complete, the life science office facility is anticipated to provide hundreds of jobs, which should add to the demand for housing at Alta Flatirons. Additional job centers are provided by the City of Boulder 10 minutes away, the University of Colorado and the U.S 36 business corridor.
A host of influences
The wrap-style Alta Flatirons features a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Interiors feature a combination of Japanese and Scandinavian designs. Common-area amenities will include a fitness center, swimming pool, spa courtyard, clubroom with a kitchen and wine storage area, a library with co-working space, billiards room, as well as a lobby with coffee bar. Renters with pets will have access to a pet wash and dog park.

CBRE’s newly-released Denver Multifamily Report indicates the region absorbed almost 2,100 units in the first quarter of this year, the second highest Q1 number in 10 years.
Wood Partners is currently building of two additional communities, the 186-unit Alta Piney Creek in Aurora and 216-unit Alta Mile High in Denver. The project is expected to be delivered in April 2027. Earlier this year, the Williams Village II redevelopment in Boulder landed a $56 million loan. That project will result in approximately 600 new residences.
